Making Disciples Across New Zealand

I made this site to share about the missions work I do. Over the last 6 years I’ve seen God bring people to Christ, mature them in their faith, and send them out to reach others, and it’s so exciting! I hope you can be excited from these stories too.
The work I do is supported by Christians across New Zealand. As you get to know me if you’d like to pray for or give to my work, I’d love to have you join my support team!
I was comfortable living my own way and in my sin until the Christchurch Earthquake in 2011. Surrounded by all the destruction, I realised how unstable my own life was, and that I needed help beyond my means. It was after two years of searching that Jesus found me and made me his.
Since then, I have been gripped by the need to bring the sure foundation of Christ to Kiwis living comfortably on the cliff edge. I began sharing my faith at university with Student Life, and now work for the missions organisation Tandem Ministries.
I am married to my darling wife, Lauren, and we run a ministry flat with 7 young people right beside Canterbury University.
I am deeply passionate about making safe spaces to talk about Jesus, and sharing the Gospel using the language and terms of the hearer.
Who I Am
My Vision:
That one day churches in NZ would be so well equipped, encouraged and effective in making multiplying disciples, that groups like Tandem are no longer needed.
What I do
This is my official job and what I support raise for. I teach and coach young missionaries to help them get to their mission fields, be effective there, and personally thrive. I’ve coached people doing Gospel ministry in NZ, the Pacific Islands, and Central Asia. As God moves, the better we equip our missionaries, the more people get to see and hear Christ and the more local churches are blessed.
Tandem Ministries
At home, my wife and I run a ministry flat. Through prayerful discipling and modelling we hope all those who live with us can either find or grow a relationship with God. We occasionally have spaces open up so if you’d like to apply or refer someone, we’d love to hear from you!

At my church I lead community outreaches, where we build Gospel-focused relationships with strangers. It’s been encouraging how many non-Christians want to keep meeting with us! I’ve now made a training template to help other NZ churches connect with their communities, feel free to reach out if you'd like this.

Finances
My work is supported by missional Christians across NZ and is based on the NZ teachers’ scale. Since February 2026, I currently need to raise $1,400 per month to have a full wage. I have confidence that God will provide what I need at the right time, so there’s no worries or pressure from my end. However, if you’d like to give, I’d love to have you on my team!

Prayer
Honestly, I don’t value prayer enough. At times I can do things in my own strength and it doesn’t really help anyone. God has been challenging me to trust His work more, and so often He works as His people pray. If you would be willing to pray for me regularly I would be so grateful.
